By making a booking at Hagg Hill Camping, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
These terms are in place to protect guests, the land, and the future of Hagg Hill Camping.
1. About Hagg Hill Camping
Hagg Hill Camping is a small, semi-rural, low-impact campsite operating on working land.
Camping is available outside of organised Hagg Hill Weekender event weekends only.
During major organised events, the site is used exclusively for event attendees and general camping is not available.
2. Booking & Payment
- All bookings must be made via the official Hagg Hill Camping booking system.
- Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
- Prices are charged per pitch / per night, unless stated otherwise.
- We operate fair, honest pricing — no big campsite pricing and no festival-style mark-ups.
Bookings are available for limited dates each year and may be paused or closed at any time.
3. Self-Contained Camping (Very Important)
Hagg Hill Camping is a self-contained campsite.
During standard (non-entertainment) camping stays:
- ❌ We do not provide toilets
- ❌ We do not provide showers
Campers must:
- Bring their own toilet solution
- Make their own washing arrangements
- Be fully self-sufficient
💧 Drinking water is available on site.
We are working towards introducing composting toilets in the future, but until clearly confirmed and advertised, all bookings are made on the understanding that no toilet or shower facilities are provided during standard camping stays.
4. Entertainment Nights & Pricing
On selected evenings, Hagg Hill may host small-scale entertainment, such as:
- Live music (ending by 11pm)
- Firewalking experiences
- BBQ or food offerings
- A licensed bar
How you’ll know it’s an entertainment night
Entertainment nights are clearly indicated by a slightly increased nightly price.
If the price for your selected date is higher than standard camping rates, this means:
- You are booking a camping night with entertainment
- Temporary toilets will be provided
- ❌ Showers are not provided
- The atmosphere will be livelier than on standard camping nights
There will be no surprise entertainment — pricing is used as a clear indicator so you can make an informed choice when booking.
5. Optional Extras
- Firewalking and some food offerings must be booked separately, where stated
- Participation in entertainment is optional
- Outside of advertised entertainment nights, camping remains calm and low-key
6. Fire Safety & Land Care
Hagg Hill is working land used for grazing outside camping periods.
Fires:
- Communal fire pits may be provided
- Personal fire pits are only allowed if raised off the ground with a solid base
- ❌ Disposable BBQs and anything that scorches the ground are not permitted
- Fires must never be lit directly on the grass
All fires must:
- Be supervised at all times
- Be kept a safe distance from tents, vehicles, fencing, trees, and equipment
- Be fully extinguished before sleeping or leaving the area
If conditions are unsafe (e.g. wind or very dry weather), fires may be restricted or banned for safety reasons.
7. Noise, Behaviour & Consideration
Hagg Hill Camping operates on respect and consideration.
- Noise must be kept to a reasonable level at all times
- Quiet is expected during the evening and overnight
- On entertainment nights, music and activity will end by 11pm
Please note:
- The holiday cottage on site may have guests who are not attending entertainment nights
- Noise must be kept to a minimum to respect neighbours, other campers, and non-event guests
Disruptive, unsafe, aggressive, or disrespectful behaviour may result in guests being asked to leave the site without refund.
8. Working Land, Wildlife & Animals
Hagg Hill is working land.
- Farm animals and wildlife may be present on or near the site
- Guests must not approach, feed, chase, or disturb animals
- Food waste must be cleared away
- Gates, fencing, and signage must be respected at all times
9. Vehicles & Access
- Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas
- Vehicle movement on site should be kept to a minimum
- The site includes grass, uneven ground, and slopes
If you have mobility or access concerns, please contact us before booking so we can discuss suitability honestly.
10. Responsibility & Liability
Camping is undertaken at your own risk.
Hagg Hill Camping accepts no responsibility for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to personal property
- Injury caused by misuse of fires, equipment, or facilities
- Accidents resulting from weather, terrain, or outdoor conditions
Guests are responsible for:
- Their own safety and that of their party
- Leaving pitches and shared areas clean and undamaged
11. Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change. Our refund policy is designed to be fair while protecting a small, low-impact campsite with limited availability.
Standard Camping Days (No Entertainment)
For standard camping days:
- ✅ Full refund if cancelled more than 24 hours before arrival
- ❌ No refund for cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival
Entertainment Nights
For camping dates that include entertainment (indicated by a higher nightly price):
- ✅ Full refund if cancelled 7 days or more before arrival
- ⚠️ Partial refund if cancelled between 7 days and 24 hours before arrival
– the camping fee will be refunded - ❌ No refund for cancellations made within 24 hours of arrival
Additional Notes
- Refunds apply to the camping fee only, unless otherwise stated
- Optional extras (such as firewalking or food bookings) may have separate cancellation terms
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
- Processing times may vary depending on PayPal or payment provider
12. Cancellations by Us
In rare circumstances where we need to cancel a booking due to:
- Safety concerns
- Weather conditions
- Land protection requirements
We will contact you as soon as possible and issue a refund in line with the policy above.
13. Agreement
By booking at Hagg Hill Camping, you confirm that:
- You understand this is self-contained camping
- You understand that toilets are only provided on entertainment nights
- You understand that showers are not provided
- You accept that pricing differences indicate standard vs entertainment nights
- You agree to follow all site rules, safety guidance, and instructions
